Well-beeing and health

The psychosocial work environment

Research on adult work environment concludes that the work environment is important for employees` job satisfaction and productivity. Similarly the school environment influences the students' well-being and performance. The physical environment in school is an important part of this picture, however it is not sufficient. What is the benefit of a safe and attractive physical environment, if the relationships between the students are poor?

By working with this educational site you can improve the psychosocial environment at your school.

How to use this site
The site Well-beeing and health includes three activities. The activities are approached in the same order as they appear and can be accomplished by both the students, the teachers, the school management, the parents and the school nurse.

The results of the survey is the basis for identifying what could be improved to promote well-beeing and health in the school, making priorities and planning initiatives.

  • Implementation and evaluation
The implementation of the planned initiatives is normally the longest phase. After the implementation it is important to evaluate the initiatives and make sure that the work is followed up.
